I had a folding/pocket nylon backpack when I was young, and I’ve been on the hunt for a facsimile for decades. This little thing is the closest I’ve found, and although it’s bulkier and doesn’t fold into a small flat envelope shape like my old one, it’s still compact enough to fit easily into a jacket pocket. (There are “envelope” style folding backpacks available here on Amazon, but they all fold to a much larger size than my old one. I wanted something that would fit into basically any jacket pocket.I’ve used it a number of times now, and put it through its paces. The straps are too thin to carry a great deal of weight very far without some shoulder discomfort, but on a number of walks between three - five kilometres in length, I’ve used it to carry a 4 litre jug of milk (4.2 Kilos / 9.5 lbs) plus other groceries, totalling about 15 lbs. The backpack has held up 100%.As noted above, this backpack can easily tote at least 7 kilos/15 lbs of food/gear.The stitching is solid.Even when packed full and heavy, the zippers remain closed.Handy internal map sleeve/extra pocket.Lightweight and folds up small.Very easy to refold/bundle back into its tote bag.This backpack holds far more than the 16L “4 Monster” folding backpack that I purchased at the same time, it folds to about ½ the size (see photos), it weighs less in my pocket, and it cost less than ½ the price.At my purchase price of Cdn $11.99, I’m really pleased with this “Three Tigers” backpack.I highly recommend this product.I thought this might be ok as a inexpensive packable bag, but it's not even worth the $12. The straps are like shoelaces. Returned.
