I bought the medium for my 5lb poodle. The manufacturer's pictures and sizing recommendations were helpful, as were the reviews.The carrier with the dog inside, is impossible for me to put on without help. I found it best to put the pack on first, then put the dog inside.I disliked that there was NO waist strap for this. My dog didn't flop too far away from my chest as I moved but I think she would have if she were any heavier. I took a stretch snap belt, put it around my waist and threaded it through the leg section of the pack. This gave extra security.The measurements of this are problematic in that no 2 dogs are exactly alike. The leg distance may fit one category, but the leg circumference may not. I think it's hard to get a dog that fits all the appropriate size perimeters that puts them into one particular size. For example, my dog's leg circumference put her in small but the distance between leg put her in medium.The measurement between her legs (inside and outside of legs) determined medium size, and it's true she fit this way on the legs. But she DID not fit the leg circumference suggestions. She is so small she had the tendency to slip down with her bottom coming out of a leg hole. and it was really uncomfortable for her. So another modification. I stuffed a baby blanket inside the carrier and nestled it around her bottom which gave a little padding and helped with the slippage.I love the material of this. Not perfect but it will have to do.My puppy jumped out of all other carriers until we tried this one. Once he is in he sits comfortably and never tries to escape. I did size up since he is growing so it is slightly too big in the picture but he will grow into it. I am quite petite so he hangs much lower on me than he does on my husband. It is comfortable but If you are small know you will constantly be adjusting the straps from sliding off your arms. There is a way to tighten the straps, but they kept sliding back to a larger setting. It is pretty easy to get my puppy in it even with just one person which is a bonusThis is an awesome dog backpack carrier! I have tried 3 other types with my dog and she hated all of them. But this one she loves to be in. When we go on vacation we go all over with her in it. we have people stop us and ask if they can take a photo so they can get one for their dog as well.Product well made , but my dog was terrified to get in it so I did not have the opportunity to use it.Doggie just didn’t like being in a cocoon. I think it ran smaller than advertised. It’s too bad cuz it was a great product. Ripped packaging apart can’t return.This is perfect for my 3.5 lbs yorkie. She loves it and rides well. She fits well. I did feel that it was a little big, but once I situated and put the straps up where it is higher on my chest, my dog fits perfect.ColorsBought this to use on hikes for our cat, Olive! She honestly didn’t mind it at all. It’s a little bit but she will grow into it! Pretty nice little harness!My dog absolutely hates this carrier... But I love it! I initially got it in the summer for bike rides, now it only comes out at family BBQ's for a laugh at how incredibly embarrassed he is when I strap him in. His eyes get VERY narrow and he has a horribly angry look on his face when using the carrier, but it fits well and the only thing it's hurting is his ego. He looks perfectly comfortable physically.Fantastic!!!!! A friend recommended this due to me having a Toy breed, and wasn't happy when a lot of foot traffic and kept having to pick him up and carry him ( not good carrying 4-5 carrier bags and a dog!!!)Then came the Pawaboo pet carrier. My dog is happy being carried and is very comfy in it. Has openings for 4 paws and a tail. Easy to put your dog in, 2 zips...done! Can't recommend this product enough. Makes life so much easier. Very reasonably priced and quick delivery. If you have a small breed or even a puppy who hasn’t been vaccinated yet, this is perfect. Watch the size though, I thought a small would be big enough, it wasn't had to send back and get a medium. Small would be a tea-cup size.Excellent so easy to use. I put in on so its front facing then sit down, open it onto my lap and pop my dog onto my lap then just zip him up inside it. He has a vascular condition which effects his extremities and causes them to break down easily so he cant walk as far as he wants too or his feet get painful and bleed so now we go out with all 4 dogs and when hes had enough I put him in his carrier and we can continue our walk in comfort. He loves it and seems to feel very secure and relaxed in it too. And it is very easy on the back and shoulders for me and leave my hands free which is great! Love it - brilliant value!Bought this after reading good reviews??? to carry a Maltese dog with torn ligament. Measured and weighed dog and ordered size as per manufacturer's specification. Shoulder straps kept being pulled forward off shoulder with weight of dog.(needs a back strap to hold shoulder straps in place and support back)Dog struggled as crouch seam cut into dog like a cheese slice between back legs.(needs more structure to crouch and some padding!) Badly thought out and designed. May suit a very small dog but not a Maltese. Very disappointed would definately not reccommend.Brilliant product. We have an unusual shape 13 week puppy, mother Beddlington/whippet father Jack Russel/Chihuahua so it was essential to measure her. She is 5.5 lbs but long legs so went for the medium which is just right. She took to it immediately. It means we can go for longer walks than a 13 week old puppy can. Comfortable to wear, good quality zips. Measure your dog and get the right size and I highly recommend this product.
