This looked like a nice backpack, so I ordered it. I find it to be small yet versatile, with nice features and comfortable carry.I was impressed the first time I took this out of the box. It has a striking design, that centers on the three carrying areas, which are sort of stacked up on each other as you look from the rear of the pack. This is not some pack that was thrown together; it is designed to accent the look of the pack as well as to be functional. In addition, the material has a bit of a shine, and the black color is accented well by the nickel zipper pulls and the logo. I really like the look; it is much better in person than on the product page, and will impress anyone who sees it.I see this as a backpack for those who want to carry the computer but not too much more. The main area houses only the computer, and the rear areas have room for perhaps a single textbook. This would make a great case for air travel.The pack has an interesting design feature; it has a nice carry handle (with padding), and also straps. But the straps have a swivel snap at the bottom, so when not in use (like for airplane travel), you can stow the straps to the rear of the pack. I like that because it won't snag on things when you are boarding the plane. When deployed, the straps are a bit short, but comfortable. When stowed, there is a convenient Velcro cross strap in the rear that can be used to hook around luggage "extension handles" that are featured on most modern luggage. The cross strap holds the pack in place while you wheel the luggage out.Construction is excellent, with double stitching on most areas, and the fabric is what they call "ballistic", but what we used to call "rip-stop". A rip should not expand. It is somewhat water repellent, but not water proof.The laptop area is designed for just the machine, and is about 15.5 X 11 X 2.75 inches by my measurement. It should fit any 15.5 inch laptop, but check your dimensions if you are looking for a 17 inch carrying case.In front of the laptop area is a smaller area, 2 X 12 X 11 inches. It has places for a couple of pens, and two open pockets for cell phones and maybe a 7 inch tablet. An inner zipper area is 10 inches wide by 8 inches deep.The final area is the rear, which is about 1.5 X 11 X 11 inches. It has several open pouches, pencil holders, and some business card slots. One of the open slots should fit a larger tablet - it is 1/2 X 7.5 wide X 5 inches tall , but the open top allows a height of 8 inches.Summary: If you want a smaller case with convenient features and good construction - especially for air travel - this is the one to check out.
