SHENHU 40L Waterproof Hiking Backpack - Lightweight Trekking & Camping Backpack for Men & Women - Perfect for Outdoor Adventures, Travel & Day Trips

As the headline states, I have not used the backpack to carry anything out of the house yet. I purchased this backpack to prepare for a future outdoor adventure. First, I like the color and the various pockets it has. There is a headphone rubber grommet area on the backpack which you can see it in the product description, but this is just the grommet attached to the material. The actual backpack material has not been cut or punctured to have anything pass through yet so I suppose it is optional to open it up. I do not plan to use a headphone, but if I was, I don't think I would even use this location to pass the wire through because it goes into the main large section of the backpack and I don't think I or most people would put the phone or whatever you are connecting the headphones to in that large section of the back pack. The grommet's opening is large enough to fit my Camelbak tube through so I might consider using it for that purpose, but most likely will just stick it out of the zipper area since cutting the material under the grommet would make the backpack susceptible to water leaks if it was being used while raining (it's supposed to be a water resistant backpack). The shoulder strap does have a clip attached that seems to be for the drinking tube so that is very nice to have. The top spacing of the shoulder straps initially seemed to be too narrow and I thought it would bother my neck being so close together, but I added some weight into the backpack and tried it on and the straps actually don't end up rubbing my neck as long as there is something in the backpack. The prominent "shenhu" & "capacity 40" logos embroidered into the backpack are probably what I do not like about the way this backpack looks. I'm certain that I will at minimum color the white embroidery in with a black permanent pen or find an iron on patch that I prefer and cover it up. Otherwise, this seems to be very well made and after I use it, if the durability doesn't seem to be as good as I expect it to be, I will return to update this review.
