I have been looking for a canvas backpack for quite some time and although this is not the design I was looking for I think it is the one I am going to settle with. And when I say settle I don't mean it is subpar because it is not.The back is large and spacious inside with multiple pockets and space. The backpack is full-sized although it is a little compact in size it still manages to hold everything you need in its own place.At the far back of the bag is a small slip pocket that is great for things you need often but don't want to have to dig for, change, debit card, keys, lip chap, etc. There is a large zippered compartment in the back, this pocket is rather flat and would be great for maybe an iPad Pro, smaller laptop or netbook. You could also keep your magazines or folders in the pocket if you did not want to chance them being folded or bent in the main compartment. In front of this flat pocket is the largest compartment, which is great for books, water bottles, cameras, selfie sticks, etc. The pocket is open and room but there is a little slip pocket in the back where you could also put a laptop. From personal experience, I prefer my laptop in the main compartment and my tablet in the back flat pocket. This main compartment also has a zippered compartment at the top for smaller items.There is another, albeit smaller zippered compartment toward the front of the bag this pocket would be great for a Kindle, journal, pens/pencils, your phone, battery pack or similarly shaped items. And finally on the front is a smaller catch-all type of pocket with a hidden zipper, I almost missed it.One thing I like about the 3 main compartment zippers is that they are doubled-zippered, this comes in handy when your bag is overstuffed. There are two open pockets on the side where you could put a water bottle or a small umbrella. The color of the bag is perfect. It is listed as pinkish purple but it is lavender which is a clear winner to me.I love this bag and am sure it is going to be my goto work bag. I give it a rating of 10.
