Cesar Millan Dog Backpack - Durable & Padded Hiking Backpack for Dogs - Perfect for Outdoor Adventures, Training & Daily Walks

Great for several excursions but wore out at the seams too fast.So I bought the Ceasr Millan Dog Backpack after reading up on countermeasures for very, very active dogs. It has worked very well - just as stated on the website, by adding the extra weight, the dog can be more tired out on the same length of walk. I can confirm this has helped massively with our highly energetic Belgian Shepherd mix and that the size guide is also accurate. I also like the fact that the dog's well-being has been taken into account as the backpack has been designed to ensure the extra weight shouldn't cause any impact problems for joints etc.So why only a three star rating?While I use this backpack every day, I would say there are two flaws in the design:1. There is no metal ring to attach a leash to the top of the harness. That means my dog now wears TWO harnesses when we go out, so I still have the possibility to clip her in. This might seem odd, but we use two clipping points for her leash - one on the harness on her back and one on the collar around her neck. The neck collar clip I use as seldom as possible and only in close control situations. So it's a shame there isn't a clip on the backpack.2. The backpack only fastens on one side of the dog's abdomen and due to this design, it is necessary to put the backpack over the dogs head first and then draw the right leg up and through a second opening. Obviously, to do this, it is easier if your dog is sitting or at least being still... so getting the backpack on can be a bit of a pain, particularly on a mucky morning in the middle of winter with a dog dying to get going on her morning walk in the woods!Despite these two points, I will say again - we use the backpack every day and it has made a significant difference, for which I am thankful. So it is a shame that a couple of minor design features hinder its usability to a degree. However, if you have a hyperactive hound, I would still recommend this backpack!!Love this for my dog ? very durable material and easy to fit on the dog great job Cesar Millán. Thank You!Be warned that unlike most harnesses, this has no leash clip. I will say that as soon as I put it on my crazy puppy she calmed down. I bought it for running though so I’m not sure it will work for that. It’s also too big for my 25lb dogI was disappointed in the sizing, the large is not exactly correct in its measurements. My German Shepard weight is less than the max and so is his chest/girth size. So to return this product I'm being charged a restocking fee, over all the product did look nice.My Bouvier is a large dog (120lbs) but this beautiful harness is too small, it doesn’t wrap around the chest. Maybe some day my beautiful dog will lose some weight ?Doesn't fit my standard poodle very well in the chest. Still usable. She likes it and tolerates it well. I wouldn't use for a long stretch of time thoughI bought 2 of these. One for a small dog ~ 25 lb and one for a medium dog ~ 50 lb Blue Healer. The medium dog vest required me to adjust the vest to it's smallest size (not easy to do.) The small dog vest may not be be adjusted to fit my smaller hound. If you can't get them to fit they shift when the dogs run and I am afraid they may cause joint damage. On the upside they can carry up to 360 rounds of 5.56 ammo. I found my Blue Healer was good with 240 and my hound made well with 120.Such a pity, saddle bags torn so quickly by strap and the other side showing sign of wear, not made strong enough, so disappointed, only worn a few times.Love this backpack, we decided to put dried beans about 3 pounds in each side and what a difference this has made. My dog is less excited after our walks.Schnelle Lieferung und sehr gute Qualität. Reißverschlüsse sehen qualitativ sehr gut aus, auch die zusätzliche Gurtsicherung überzeugt. (Großer) Hund läßt sich schon nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr davon ablenken. Der mittig oben eingearbeitete Griff ist sinnvoll - z.B. und den Hund bei einem Leinenwechsel kurz zu halten.
